HCA e2 assembly – From now on faster and more flexible
We are pleased to present our facelift of the heat cost allocator. Save time and assemble even easier from now on! The following adjustments have been made:
1. lengthening and deepening of the weld stud holder.
By relocating the battery position to the upper half of the housing and making further layout adjustments, it has been possible to create free space to implement an extension and recess for the weld stud mount. This design change provides the great advantage that existing existing studs can be mounted even more flexibly (stud spacing and stud length).
As part of the current design adjustments, we also considered substituting the previous 2-part optical extension and have now replaced it with a 1-part in frame design variant.
2. one-piece cover (optical extension)
As part of the current design adjustments, we also considered substituting the previous 2-part optical extension and have now replaced it with a 1-part in frame design variant.
Advantages:
- One-piece, thus more stability
- Easier to assemble
- Larger (longer) cover area (advantageous when replacing with evaporator)
- Downward compatible (fits on “previous” and “new” variant of heat cost allocator)
- With “new heat cost allocator variant”, the seal is covered completely
3. integrated seal
The new design of the seal with latching mechanism now makes it possible to perform assembly in one operation. For this purpose, after placing the HCA e2 on the mounting plate, the pre-installed safety seal can be activated by finger pressure so that the HCA e2 latches onto the mounting plate. This effectively facilitates mounting and speeds up the entire assembly process.
Improvements and advantages:
- Pre-assembled seal and new latching mechanism
- After placing the heat cost allocator on the aluminum heat conductor, snap the seal into place by pressing it with your finger.
- When dismantling the heat cost allocator, simply “lever” the seal downwards using a flat-bladed screwdriver.
- In case of intended disassembly and reassembly (e.g. radiator replacement), a seal can be “pre-locked” independently and then mounted and locked as in the original condition.
Another note on our own behalf: The modifications carried out have no effect on the metrological properties. The previous devices and the “new” devices are compatible with each other.” This has been confirmed to us by the approval authority.
