AssetEnergy about Engelmann: an interview with Lars Klocke

What does AssetEnergy do?
As part of the Alois Müller Group, which has been involved in heating for a good 50 years and is one of the leading energy technology companies in southern Germany, we at AssetEnergy take care of metering services. For us, but also for our customers, this means that we have a contact person or a company that takes care of everything from the installation of a heating system to its maintenance and billing. And as a group of companies, we are unique in Germany in this respect.
How did you hear about Engelmann?
The whole topic started with: I’ll have a look on the Internet first. What hardware solutions are available? What kind of Software do I need and how do I actually manage to continuously read meters on site in properties? And then I quickly came across the topic of wireless M-Bus, data loggers, i.e. Gateway, and looked at various manufacturers and then finally decided on Engelmann, who have been with me from day one, even though we were still a very small player at the time, i.e. we didn’t yet have any stock, so to speak. Nevertheless, Engelmann said right from the start: “We’re on board, we’re starting the topic of “setting up a measuring service”.
What do you appreciate about Engelmann?
What I appreciate most about Engelmann is that we were accepted right from the start and were also seen as the measuring service of the future, even though we didn’t have a large portfolio at the time. If we have a problem, we call them. Or we get the delivery, as specified. All these issues relating to Engelmann products are very important to us. And we still have very good experience in this area and can rely on a dependable partner. If there are any questions anywhere along the line, from meter reading to installation, if there are any problems, Engelmann responds quickly. And, of course, that’s good for us because we don’t have to keep the customer waiting for long if something goes wrong. And that means that Engelmann is a very, very important partner for us in order to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.
When were you highly satisfied with Engelmann?
We have started to create an interface with Engelmann for the whole ordering process. So our system orders directly from Engelmann. They confirm the order and send it back. Our system recognizes: All right, we now have the order confirmation for the orders that we have triggered at Engelmann. The devices then arrive and then; the system also recognizes that and then we receive the incoming goods and we scan the devices and link them directly to the meter numbers so that we always have a unique object, i.e. a unique meter and know at all times where which meter is. We sat down together at the very beginning and asked ourselves how it could work well for both parties if we set up goods management via an interface. And Engelmann was on board from day one.
